Antibes is twenty-five minutes east of Cannes and eats better than its size suggests, largely because people live there year round rather than arriving for a season. The covered market sets the tone and most of the good kitchens are within a few streets of it. The covered market on Cours Masséna runs most mornings and closes by early afternoon. It is shut on Mondays outside the summer season.
