Coffee and Breakfast in Cannes
France is not built for takeaway coffee, and Cannes is no exception, but there is now a small group of places doing it properly alongside the bakeries that have always been good. This list is what we use in the morning: somewhere for a flat white, somewhere for a croissant worth queueing for, and the ice cream counter in Le Suquet for the end of the afternoon. Everything is a short walk from the centre.

Where can you find good coffee in Cannes?
A handful of independent roasters and cafés in the centre now do proper espresso and filter. The traditional cafés along the Croisette are for sitting outside rather than for the coffee itself.
What is a typical breakfast in Cannes?
Coffee and a pastry standing at the counter, or a croissant from a bakery eaten on the way to the market. Full sit-down breakfast is mostly a hotel thing.
