Staying in Cannes for MIPIM
MIPIM is four days of meetings and about twenty thousand people, and almost all of it happens within a few hundred metres of the Palais. March is out of season everywhere else on this coast, which means the town is quiet the week before and completely full the week itself. An apartment in the centre puts you inside the walking radius, with somewhere to host a small dinner rather than fighting for a restaurant table with everyone else at the show.

As close to the Palais as you can manage. Almost all MIPIM business happens within a few hundred metres of it, and taxis are slow during the show. Central Cannes apartments and hotels both work; apartments give you somewhere private to meet.
How far in advance should you book for MIPIM?
Six months or more. MIPIM week fills central Cannes completely, and prices rise steeply as March approaches.
