Staying in Cannes for the Yachting Festival
The Cannes Yachting Festival, which most people still call the Cannes yacht show, takes over both harbours for six days in September and brings around fifty-five thousand people with it. It is split across two sites, the Vieux Port for motor yachts and Port Canto for sail and tenders, and the walk between them is part of the day. We are in the centre between the two, which means you can go back at lunchtime instead of queueing for a taxi. September is also the best month on this coast: the sea is still warm and the crowds have gone.
